Steffen Runge, Dr. Matthias Schulz and Prof. Dr. Christian Schwens (all Professorship of Entrepreneurship and Management) received the Jürgen Hauschildt Prize for their paper "The invention performance implications of coopetition: How technological, geographical, and product market overlaps shape learning and competitive tension in R&D alliances", published in the Strategic Management Journal in 2021. The Jürgen Hauschildt prize is awarded annually by the Commission for Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the German Association of Professors of Business Administration (VHB) for the best empirical publication on innovation management.
