Prof. Dr. Christian Schwens
Prof Dr. Christian Schwens is full professor for the Endowed Chair for Interdisciplinary Management Science at the University of Cologne in Cologne, Germany. After obtaining his university degree in business administration at the University of Paderborn and the University of Stockholm, he was a PhD student and later a post doc at the University of Gießen and a visiting professor at the University of Trier. From 2012 to spring 2018, he was full professor for the Chair of Business Administration: Management at the Heinrich-Heine-University in Duesseldorf, Germany. In 2006, he was visiting scholar at the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, USA and in 2016 he was visiting scholar at the Department of Management and International Business at the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
His research has been presented at various national and international conferences and in peer-reviewed journals such as Journal of International Business Studies (JIBS), Journal of Management Studies (JMS), Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice (ETP), Journal of World Business (JWB), International Business Review (IBR), Journal of Small Business Management (JSBM) and many more. He is a Senior Editor of the Journal of World Business (JWB) (with responsibilities in the areas of “Entrepreneuship, Technology, and Internationalization”) and a member of the Editorial Review Board of Journal of International Business Studies, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice and Management Review Quarterly.
